For our Global Bioanalytical Sciences (BAS) organization, we are looking for a
The Opportunity
As a PhD student, you will join CSL's Bioanalytical Science department and be responsible for development of novel analytical platforms. You will bring knowledge and first experience of working with laboratory analytics and preferably process analytics and analytical technologies for real-time analytics.
In this role, you will be directly supervised and will work within a team in a collaborative manner.
Responsibilities :
Under direct supervision, performs experiments and required testing of intermediates, in-process, or raw material in accordance with established methods
Does literature review, authors/co-authors scientific articles, presents experimental data in coherent manner in scientific forums
Forms a strong theoretical and experimental basis for novel analytical platforms
Maintains accurate, complete, legible, and concurrent records of work performed and enters results in the laboratory notebook
Reviews test data/results for reporting and documentation accuracy and communicates aberrant results to laboratory supervision
Develops an awareness of GxP and maintains compliance with these regulations.
Your Skills and Experience :
Graduate degree (Batchelor/Masters) in a quantitative science or engineering and/or first experience in relevant industry environment (for example internship)
Minimum of 0-1 years of relevant laboratory experience in analytical protein chemistry, biophysics, biochemistry, engineering, or other pharmaceutically related field
Strong problem-solving skills with a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
First experience of working with process analytical technologies (PAT)
Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, C++
Working knowledge of Regulatory Good Practices (GxP) with regards to laboratory experimentation and documentation
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
