Our client, a leading European Commercial Group, is experiencing significant growth and has opened a new Accounting Manager position in their Luxembourg office. This role is integral to their expansion and offers a unique opportunity to influence their international financial operations.
Job Description:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to take on this newly created role within their Luxembourg office.
This strategic position involves leading a team of 4 accounting professionals and working under the authority of the Head of Accounting.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the department's future, overseeing the accounting operations critical for international growth, and ensuring compliance with global financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and lead a team of accounting professionals.
Manage general accounting operations, including GL, AP, & AR, essential for international growth.
Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure adherence to international tax and VAT requirements.
Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support business decisions.
Develop and enforce internal controls.
Requirements:
Degree in accounting, finance, or related field, with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in an international setting.
Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
Expertise in SAP and advanced Excel skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
