YOUR ROLE & MISSION
Leading a supplier panel enabling the implementation of procurement strategies and plans that guarantee the achievement of Quality, Cost, Delivery objectives for the categories of equipment managed, while ensuring that major risks are covered.
YOUR MAIN TASKS
- Analyze supplier market trends and competitor activity
- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date mapping of active suppliers in the managed categories
- Design short to medium to long term development strategies for product categories, considering market leading innovation
- Evaluate the supplier base in terms of Quality, Cost, Delivery, ensure that commercial and legal risk is minimized and propose improvements
- Build and lead managerial relationships with key suppliers by applying McPhy values
- Manage the complete purchase cycle from proposal to execution phase through RFP, RFQ, offer evaluation, supplier selection, contract elaboration, performance evaluation and capitalization
- Promote good practice and good working relationships with internal stakeholders, with a view to performance
Your profile
- University degree in industrial purchasing/business administration, and/or in the technical field of the purchasing category, engineering degree is an advantage
- Several years of relevant work experience in an industrial environment
- Deep professional experience in purchasing mechanical and electrical equipment or components is mandatory
- Create, develop, and challenge a supplier database
- Mastery of an industrial purchasing cycle
- Very good technical understanding of the purchasing category
- Knowledge of the contractual aspects of industrial purchases
- Very good negotiation and communication skills, ability to create and facilitate links with internal clients and suppliers
- Fluent in English; German and/ or French is an advantage
- Willingness to travel for business (trade shows, supplier visits) in Germany and abroad
- Agility and autonomy
