Job Overview
Psychiatric Services for the Army Medical Center (AMC), Mental Health Consultation Liaison Team, Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, and Outpatient clinics.
Qualifications
- License: Possess a current board-certified psychiatrist, active, valid, and unrestricted license in at least one of the 50 states, and/or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territories of the United States. The license must be and remain current, active, valid, and unrestricted.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Language Requirement: Read, understand, speak, and write English fluently.
- Knowledge and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to ethical patient care and treatment.
- Strong desire to collaborate in a diverse team.
- Able to create a positive patient experience.
- Able to articulate medical requirements to patients, families/caregivers, medical and non-medical staff in a professional and courteous way.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating and diagnosing patients.
- Prescribing medications.
- Conducting other forms of treatment, such as psychotherapy or electroconvulsive therapy.
- Ongoing patient care and evaluation.
- Medication management.
