As a Product Safety Engineer (m/f/d) in the hazardous location (HAZLOC)/explosion protection team , you will work on a variety of projects and provide high quality certification service to meet the clients’ needs. You'll have the ability to interpret standards, follow processes and procedures, as well as provide technical guidance to our clients and peers.
You should have experience in this area and be familiar with applicable standards like IEC 60079 series, the IECEx Scheme, the ATEX Directive and ideally, the North American certification process. CSA Group will train you in new protection concepts and support you in shaping your professional career. You will have the opportunity to work with clients from across the globe, to assist in certifying their products where you will review prototypes and samples, drawings, schematics and reports to ensure complete safety compliance to IEC/EN and North American Standards.
Successful applicants will be customer-focused and have a background in manufacturing, process, or compliance assessment. In addition, good communication, change management, problem solving and project management skills are essential.
