We are currently looking for a Frontend Architect (m/f/d). Please note that we cannot offer fully remote positions outside of Berlin.
Job Description
- Design and implement a scalable architecture for our publisher porfolio and its companion React Native mobile apps, ensuring a seamless user experience across platforms
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, aligning them with the goal of achieving the fastest loading news website and optimal mobile app performance
- Define technical strategies and guidelines, fostering efficient development processes for both the website and mobile apps
- Conduct code reviews, uphold coding standards, and facilitate continuous
- Monitor and optimize website and mobile app performance, identifying opportunities for speed enhancements and superior user experiences
- Lead the implementation of thorough testing strategies to ensure both website and app reliability, including unit tests, integration tests and end-to-end tests
Qualifications
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Software Architect or Senior Software Engineer, particularly in frontend development
- Expertise in frontend technologies such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML and CSS, experience in React Native is a plus
- Sound understanding of architectural patterns, design principles and software development best practices
- Proficiency in code versioning tools and experience with CI / CD pipelines
- Agile methodologies familiarity and a penchant for thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
