Senior Controller (m/f/d)

In this position you are responsible to ensure sound analysis and control of our financial data and the reporting to internal and external parties. You will be directly reporting to the Head of Finance EU.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Analysis of monthly and annual financial statements
• Profit and Margin Analysis
• VAT review and Analysis
• Foreign currency valuation and analysis
• Reporting to the HQ in Japan and local management
• Reporting German Central Bank (Außenwirtschaft-/Handelsstatistik)
• Support for Preparation of monthly accruals and intercompany reconciliation
• Support for Preparation of the business forecast and budget
• Cash Flow forecasting
• Support for tax reporting
• SOX coordinator and contact person for internal auditors
• Ad-hoc project work
• Support for plant controlling

Profile and Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in the finance department of a manufacturing company
• Sound accounting experience and knowledge in the area of IFRS and German GAAP 
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar discipline with analytical bias
• Fluent in German and English
• Strong PC skills including advanced proficiency in MS Excel and SAP
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
• Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; willingness to learn and adapt new methodologies
• Excellent communication skills, working within international teams and multiple levels of management
