Job description
As (Senior) Engineer Quality and Reliability (f/m/div) you will ensure that the customer comes back and not the product.
In your new role you will:
- Supporting the product development process , starting with the product idea until the successful product launch for series production regarding conformity with common QM standards
- Managing quality and reliability-related issues with internal partners, e.g. the research and development department
- Define specific qualification plans for the qualification of innovative product generations as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Plan, implement and evaluate reliability tests
- Ensure the reliability of our products by defining qualification methods for future power semiconductor technologies and components
- Cooperate actively with respective QM departments at other Infineon sites
- Participate in risk assessments and problem solving activities
- Analyze, optimize, model and automate decision-, business- and production processes
Your Profile
As a (Senior) Engineer Quality and Reliability (f/m/div), you set high quality standards for yourself and others. You take responsibility by leading the way and driving forward the solution of problems together with the internal specialist departments. You put yourself in the customer's shoes, represent their point of view internally and always look for the best solution without making hasty compromises and losing sight of the company's interests. In complex situations, you always maintain an overview and focus on the solution. You can deal with internal customers confidently, convincingly, and respectfully, even in pressure situations.
You successfully fulfill the requirements if you:
- Have successfully completed a university degree (diploma/master's/doctorate) in electrical engineering, physics, industrial engineering or a related field
- Ideally have gained initial experience in quality management , especially in dealing with internal and external customers, e.g. through internships / theses
- Ideally have some basic knowledge of semiconductors and the application of common QM methods (e.g. 8D, FMEA, …)
- Have an interest in dealing with large amounts of data and in developing solutions for linking and analyzing data (e.g. AI, low-code programming, ...)
- Be able to communicate confidently in English and German
