Job description
Key Responsibilities
• Being an expert in the Italian/Spanish VAT legislation and following any developments in this regard to keep the country team up-to-date
• Reviewing VAT compliance, outgoing communication and supervising 3-5 people in the group
• Being a bridge between local tax authorities and internal VAT teams
• Communicating and supporting internal teams on VAT matters on a high level
• Pro-active account management including the development of ideas and approaches for further optimization of client service standards
• Responding to requests from clients and proactive anticipation of clients’ needs and requirements
• At least 3 years of VAT Compliance or advisory work experience
• Expert knowledge of Italian/Spanish value-added tax (VAT) is required
• Strong written and spoken English and Italian/Spanish language knowledge is a must
• Ability to identify potential problems and issues
• Precision and reliability, proactive personality
• Effective communication skills and client orientation
• Ability to handle large amounts of data
In return, there is an impressive starting salary of €60,000 per annum, 2 x 6-month bonuses, paid overtime and excellent benefits - you also have flexible working hours.
