Your mission
- Leading the front-facing API definition and implementation to ensure efficient communication between our applications and the database.
- Developing and maintaining robust back-end services that power our application's core functionality.
- Taking ownership of infrastructure development, focusing on continuous improvements and maintenance.
- Managing the seamless ingestion and normalization of data from our client sites.
- Implementing data storage solutions in the cloud for client information and greenhouse data.
- Collaborating closely with AI specialists to integrate AI models, enabling the creation of accurate crop forecasts and predictions.
Your profile
- Cloud and CI/CD expertise, particularly in AWS, Terraform, Docker, and GitHub.
- Extensive development experience with REST APIs, Python, Flask, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud storage solutions (e.g., S3) for various data formats including JSON, CSV, and images with metadata.
- Extensive experience in web application development using the Laravel framework and PHP.
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.
- Familiarity with Docker and Laravel Sail, ensuring efficient and consistent development environments.
- Extensive experience in using Composer for efficient dependency management.
- Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu) server administration for ensuring reliable and secure server operations.

HarvestAi is a young and international startup based in Potsdam. We are leveraging our networking with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to develop a greenhouse prediction model that uses machine learning and computer vision to predict harvest dates and yields, significantly improving the procedural processes in indoor farms. In this way, we are making a positive contribution to combating the world hunger crisis in times of climate change.
