At CYTENA, we make the development of modern therapies faster, safer, and more affordable. We are looking for a Field Application Scientist (m/f/d) - DACH, based in Germany to join our CYTENA team.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the European sales team in pre-sales and post sales activities with your scientific knowledge on cell line development
- Presenting and demonstrating our single-cell dispensing and cell culturing devices in industry-regulated laboratories such as RnD for viral vector and mAbs production as well as cell and gene therapies
- Organizing product demonstrations together with the corresponding sales executive
- Continuous support of applications related to the biopharma portfolio at CYTENA
- Carrying out installations and trainings of new customers
- Supporting the sales activities at tradeshows and conferences
Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in natural sciences or equivalent
- Experience with cell culture and cell line development either directly in the lab or as part of a previous role supporting customer applications
- Knowledge of single-cell cell isolation methods
- Independent hands-on mentality and high self-motivation
- Good planning and organizational skills
- A great team player with flexibility in mind and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, German and other languages are appreciated
- Flexibility and willingness to travel across Europe (40-70%), mainly DACH region
- Good access to a major airport
