How your role will look like:
- Play a pivotal role in designing and implementing innovative user-focused solutions across the Scout24 digital real estate ecosystem.
- Work within diverse, cross-functional teams, design, develop, and deploy large-scale, performant software solutions on AWS based on our microservices architecture.
- Utilize Java or Kotlin for Spring-based applications and TypeScript for serverless to implement efficient backend logic.
- Collaborate with UX specialists to implement features into the user-facing applications, following modern best practices in frontend using React.
- Demonstrate ownership of the development cycle, adhering to the "You build it you run it" approach.
- Act as a role model for high-quality engineering principles, promoting clean code, pair programming, continuous delivery, and test-driven development, mentor junior team members in engineering best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to technology and processes by staying abreast of current trends in software design and architecture.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience in full stack software development.
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, React, and TypeScript with hands-on experience applying modern best practices in our technology stack.
- Knowledge and experience in Spring Security and Authorisation and Authentication flows such as Oauth2 and OpenID standards.
- Prior experience in creating and managing AWS resources and familiarity with Infrastructure as code concept.
- Business focus, coupled with the ability to critically question and challenge product managers and UX designers.
- A deep passion for technology and a proven record of successfully delivering high-quality products.
- Extensive experience in designing, building, testing, debugging, and optimizing code for large-scale distributed systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic, cross-functional team.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning, curiosity, and knowledge sharing within the team
