The Role:

As the Manufacturing Engineering Expert of Chemical Processes on Rotor & Stator, you will add value by developing and implementing standards for Rotor & Stator in prototype and series stage of product industrialization - core process technology’s: plastic over-molding of Rotor and Impregnation/Trickling of Stator. Adds Manufacturing Know How and expertise for concept and supplier development of high-volume Rotor & Stator Assembly lines. Aligns Process Technology Development with Product Development and equipment supplier concepts. Screens industrial peers for updates and innovation in process developments. Contributes to Know-How Transfer between Process Development Hub and Production Locations.

Key responsibilities include:

Develop:

• Assembly & Manufacturing Process Standards related to Rotor over-molding & Stator Impregnation by setting up Process Specification & Requirements in cross-functional alignment
  • Process Flow & Layout, Parameters, Tools, Fixtures, Cleanliness
  • Process Quality assurance criteria’s: Machine & Process signoffs, Process control & Quality Gates, Rework strategy
  • Assembly line Flexibility, Scalability, Automation
  • Process Key-Cost-Drivers, Invest

Drive:

• Hand-in-hand development of Product and Process by applying Design for Manufacturing principles
• Problem Solving & Continuous improvement actions, FMEA process
• Process Technology development by reaching out to market innovations

Implement:

• Bringing Process Standards into realization: leading Industrialization of Rotor & Stator Assembly lines by acting in close collaboration with local launch team

Support:

• Assist Quotation team in preparation of Invest / Tooling / Capacity / Process-costs for new projects
• Know-how transfer to global sites

Who you’ll be:

To be successful in this position, you should be a manufacturing expert with an extensive proven experience within the Automotive industry.

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master of Mechanical / Chemical Engineering or similar
• Work experience from comparable technical field with competence in process industrialization requirements
