The Customer Engagement (CE) team is our field based, customer facing organization consisting of Technical Engagement Managers and Application Engineers. The team partners closely with our customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products, software, and expertise, to help customers manage yield throughout their fabrication process—from research and development to final volume production. Responsibilities of this group include maintaining strategic client relationships, partnering with our sales team in identifying and closing sales opportunities, ensuring our products meet performance capabilities & expectations, providing critical solutions for improved yield performance, and collecting requirements for future products by understanding customer processes and technology trends. Partnering with our sales organization and factory divisions, this diverse and dynamic team helps ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.Job Description
HOW WE WORK
We are looking for an APPLICATIONS ENGINEER, based in Dresden (Germany), to support our European customers, develop new BKM’s in order to increase product adoption, lead project activity at customer sites and drive pre-sales and post-sales activities for our overlay measurement platform.
The position offers the opportunity to develop and use process knowledge and experience to implement solution and differentiated use case along KLA+’s tools. Regular domestic and international travel will take place.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA+ overlay products at European customers fabrication facilities.
Makes presentations on all aspects of products and provides customer trainings.
Drive product adoption at customer sites.
Collaborate closely with overlay divisional team and local Business Unit to achieve KLA+ business goals.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Master’s degree in Materials Science, Physics or Electronics/Electrical engineering or an equivalent education in a related field, PhD is a plus.
> 2 years of semiconductor IC fab experience would be beneficial.
Knowledge in the statistic software (e.g. JMP) knowledge is a plus.
Experiences is optical metrology is of benefit.
Understanding of how to use statistics to derive meaningful results.
Have creative thinking approach to deal with new customer challenges.
Excellent presentation, communication and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English and German is a must.
Needs to be capable of driving projects and activities in a self-sufficient way with minimal management.
You must be a hands-on person who is very interested in learning new things and cares about communicating with KLA+ departments and customers.
Ability to work in a competitive and very demanding customer-oriented environment.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of time.
Driving license for Germany.
