Account Manager
Sector Sales/Business Development Type Full-time, Permanent Location Germany-Others Salary (Annual) €65,000 - 75,000 / Year A Japanese automotive manufacturer in Stuttgart, Germany is currently looking for an Account Manager.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of business activities between the European customers and global facilities. These activities must be thoroughly managed to ensure that the company’s mission with regards to timely part development, production launch and delivery of products, and maximize sales & profit are achieved, whilst maintaining 100% customer satisfaction. Close cooperation with the production plant, Global Sales team at each location, HQ, and Research & Development Team is required.
Native level of Japanese and business level of German and English are also needed for this role. HY45344
TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: Mon-Fri 7:30-16:00 (2-3 days working from home available after training)
SALARY: €65-75k depending on experience

LOCATION: Stuttgart Germany
Account Manager Main Responsibilities:
• Obtain new business chance, support launch of new business, protect existing business by taking leadership role
• Leading communications between their global facilities, their managements and customers
• Support to part quotations preparation and its negotiations between their global Sales team with the customer
• Support to business forecasting & marketing
• Prototype management with customers
Account Manager Ideal Candidate:
• Holds BSc or BA degree in Business or Engineering desired
• 3+ years’ relevant Sales or Engineering work experience in Manufacturing Industry
• Automotive background preferred
• Native level of Japanese and proficiency in verbal and written German and English are required
• Strong leadership and highly organized with excellent written and oral communications skills
• Decision making and quick action experience
• Strong MS Office computer skills
• Approximately 10-15% travel to local Europe customers and the company’s other locations
• Adaptability to Japanese corporate culture
• Willingness to be a part of management team in future
• Knowledge of automatic transmissions and dyno testing is a plus
