The Team “Eurofighter GE Airworthiness” at Airbus Defence and Space in Manching is looking for a
The office of Airworthiness Combat Aircraft, belonging to the Airworthiness & Product Integrity Centre of Competence, is responsible for the certification of all combat aircraft belonging to Airbus Defence and Space Germany.

Your tasks and responsibilities
As a Certification Engineer for the Eurofighter Program within our office of airworthiness, your main roles and responsibilities will include:
Coordinate ‘Type Certification’ activities, such as:
Establishing the type certification basis and type design definition
Developing compliance demonstration programmes
Releasing airworthiness documentation to the National Military Airworthiness Authorities (NMAA)
Coordinate certification projects with NMAA
Coordinate the Airbus Engineering departments, as well as the System Support Center to ensure certification objectives are met
Coordinate the Minor / Major Modification Certification activities, or repair changes
Coordinate continuing airworthiness activities, such as:
Delivering Airworthiness Risk Assessments for Reportable Occurrences and launch associated actions
Negotiating with AA the action plan to remove unsafe conditions
Ensuring certification of inspections and modification Service Bulletins
Ensuring the development of appropriate airworthiness directives
Providing advice and expertise to the Chief Engineer and the Engineering Teams in general on certification and airworthiness issues
Reviewing and accepting airworthiness deliverables from engineering departments
Desired skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or any other technical background, preferably aerospace
A minimum of 3 years of work experience within an aerospace environment. These should ideally include experience that has been obtained within an airworthiness environment relevant to this position (minimum 18 months)
Knowledge of aviation law and certification regulations (especially in the military regulatory area)
Previous contacts with representatives of the certification authority and / or a large customer network are an advantage
Good cooperation skills combined with negation and conflict management skills are a prerequisite
Business fluent German and English language skills
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
