Quality Engineer Supplier

Who we are:

NPROXX is a world leader in the design, development and production of type IV pressure vessels for high pressure hydrogen storage. Based on forty years of experience with carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) products and systems in various industries, NPROXX offers carbon fiber tank systems and tailor-made solutions for hydrogen storage applications: transport and stationary storage (up to 1000 bar), heavy-duty traffic (350 bar), automotive (700 bar).

The corporate headquarter of NPROXX is located in Heerlen in the Netherlands and the production facilities and manufacturing site is located in Alsdorf (Germany). NPROXX started out as a spin-off from ETC (Enrichment Technology Company) and is now a 50-50% joint venture between ETC and Cummins Inc.

General:

NPROXX is looking for a Quality Engineer Supplier who will take on responsibility supporting the QA Team regarding further improvement of supplier´s quality. In this role you are explicitly dealing with supplier  qualification, handling of supplier´s non-conforming parts, development of suppliers, audits etc. Additionally, you will be involved in defining suitable quality measures and managing continuous improvement processes in collaboration with the supplier and NPROXX’ purchasing department.

Your tasks:

• Central point of contact for quality issues with suppliers
• Improvement of supplier-related quality processes
• Ensuring the conformity of products, including documentation, with NPROXX’s design and quality requirements
• Deviation management at the supplier, checking the implementation and effectiveness of the measures taken (8D, 3D process)
• Active management of the continuous improvement process and lessons learnt activities
• Monitoring suppliers’ quality systems, e.g. through process and system audits
• Supervision of the production approval process for new production parts (e.g. in accordance with PPAP)

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in quality, industrial or mechanical engineering and Green Belt (is recommended)
• Familiar with ISO 9001 (quality management)
• IT Knowledge: data analysis tool e.g. Minitab, SAP, Word, Excel, Power Point
• Practical experience in the field of composite/plastic processing desirable
• Responsible behavior and structured way of working with good problem-solving skills
• You can work with standardized, controlled products and processes
• You are fluent in English and German
• Place of residence in the region or willingness to move
• You have European citizenship or a valid work visa for Germany and the Netherlands.

Reporting line:

You report to the Quality Supplier Manager .
