Senior Data Analytics Architect (f/m/d)

Our dynamic international Data & Analytics team within the Global Information Services department is seeking a Senior Data Architect to join us. As an expert in data architecture and data engineering, you will be responsible for the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of the data architecture, data models and data solutions. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs, construct data models, and deliver insightful data & analytics products to internal clients and mentor and support users realizing self-service solutions.
What you can expect:
- Design, develop, and implement data models and data products with a focus on state-of-the-art architecture design
- Ensure the quality and performance of data & analytics solutions by utilizing your expertise and testing, validating, and approving developments done by other team members (internals and externals)
- Provide expert guidance in data architecture and design, and mentor team members to improve their skills
- Act as a technical lead or project manager, overseeing the implementation of data & analytics solutions and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Take ownership of domains or platforms in the data & analytics environment, and ensure their successful implementation and maintenance
- Act as the primary point of contact for business users' analytical requirements.
- Overseeing all analytical activities in a specific business area as the central point of contact for advice on all data and reporting-related enquiries.
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on business information technology
- Proven experience in understanding, usage and implementation of cloud data warehouses and analytics solutions
- Proven experience as senior data & analytics expert with a focus on data engineering and data architecture, with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of modern cloud data warehouse architecture and design
- Experience working with Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Snowflake
- Experience with programming languages such as SQL and Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of turning complex business issues into actionable solutions
- Team-oriented, with a track record of successful collaboration in global, cross-functional environments
- Entrepreneurial mindset, complemented by excellent project management and organizational skills
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
- Experience in the life science industry or manufacturing industry is a plus
