Job description
European XFEL is an international non-profit company located in the Hamburg area in Germany. It operates a 3.4 km-long X-ray laser, which produces X-rays of unique quality for studies in physics, chemistry, the life sciences, materials research and other disciplines. The diverse scientific facilities at European XFEL enable scientists from across the globe to carry out a wide range of experimental techniques.
To support our HR-Group 20 hours per week (and up to 39 hours possible during lecture-free time) we are looking for a
Taking care of apprentices, student assistants, trainees, interns, mini-jobbers
Support HR officers in the daily tasks
Support in the administration of the HR software
Opportunity to participate in an HR strategy project and/or research on legal matters
Enrollment at a university
interest to learn something new
Interest in working in the human resources department
Very good German and English (at least advanced knowledge) language skills
Proactive and hands on mentality
Residence in the Hamburg metropolitan area

Salary and benefits are similar to those of public service organizations in Germany. This appointment is initially limited to one year. An extension for one year might be possible and depends on the students eligibility.
