Job description
So far, more than 1.000.000 teachers use eduki to prepare lessons. They share their self-created teaching materials – millions of times. This makes teaching better, preparation less stressful and promotes cooperation.

Your Responsibilities
- You will detect errors in schema, queries, configuration and overall usage of the databases
- You will work with back-end, DevOps, QA and security teams to plan for and continuously improve all the aspects of the work with databases
- You will verify database changes performed by other teams
- You will monitor query performance and provide guidance to other teams on how to improve it

Your Profile
- You have at least 3 years hands-on experience with MySQL (or Percona) 5.7+ and ElasticSearch
- You have knowledge in configuring small to medium-size clusters, safely backup and restoring them
- You know how to optimize, test and profile schema and queries
- You know how OLAP databases and NoSQL solutions (preferable MongoDB/Redis) work
- You have experiences in using Docker and docker-compose as well as infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. terraform/ansible/saltstack)
- You are able to quickly investigate database issues
- You are experienced in benchmarking different database configuration setups
- English (verbal & written) – you should be able to discuss work-related topics
