A key and demanding leadership role within the PALFINGER Group, with the overall responsibility for the strategic development and performance of Procurement world-wide. Responsibilities
- Accountable for the procurement and supplier performance globally regarding time, quality and cost (volume of approx. 1.4b per year)
- Define and execute the procurement strategies world-wide to ensure cost-effectiveness and sourcing synergy effects for the entire PALFINGER group
- In the Process and Data Organization accountable for the supply chain and procurement processes, i.e. define and decide policies, processes and tool standards, drive roll out and execution of these standards, develop process & data organization
- Further optimize and develop the global supplier portfolio; identify and build strong strategic partners as a key foundation for further company growth
- Continuous reduction of material costs
- Drive make-or-buy-decisions together with Global Supply Chain Management and Operations
- Implement and develop the vision, company culture and core values of the PAFLINGER Group Responsible for the global procurement organization (approx. 120 FTE) and development of global team by establishing clearly defined and group-wide harmonized and standardized roles and responsibilities
- Represent PALFINGER to all relevant stakeholders and build lasting and strong networks
- Assure compliance with law/regulations as well as internal group guidelines and leadership behaviors
Qualifications
- Master degree or equivalent (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar); complementary degree in business administration advantageous
- Continuing procurement related education
- 15+ years of related work experience; out of which at least seven years in leading a global procurement organization
- Experience in the mechanical engineering and/or automotive supplier industry advantageous
- Significant experience in the procurement of both indirect and direct material categories
- State-of-the-art knowledge regarding procurement organization, processes, methods and tools
- Results and execution driven, based on data analytics and structured decision-making processes
- Well versed in the continuous development and change management of organizations
- Fluent in English and German
- Strong communication and leadership skills, inspiring personality
- Willingness to travel

Minimum monthly gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 6.018,97. However, we offer a market-conform overpayment according to experience and qualification.
