Join our Platform & Tech Enablers Team and be the Governance Expert for our Tech department!
This is a temporary position from 15 May 2024 to (probably) 31 July 2025, but this period may be extended beyond this date.
The worklocation can be anywhere in Germany remote or hybridn from Cologne.
Your mission
- Cost Planning and Control: Develop and implement strategic cost planning for efficient resource allocation. Monitor and optimize costs associated with technology projects.
- Resource and People Planning: Collaborate with department heads to allocate resources effectively. Align staffing needs with budget constraints in coordination with HR.
- Support Purchasing: Provide crucial support in the procurement process, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Budgeting for the Technology Department: Create and maintain comprehensive budgeting documents in Excel. Regularly update and revise budgets based on project and departmental needs.
- Governance of Technology Department Purchases: Establish and enforce purchasing governance policies. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Communication with C-Level Executives: Communicate purchasing contracts and financial reports to C-Level executives. Provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Collaboration with Finance Department: Work closely with the Finance department for aligned financial goals. Provide necessary information for budget reviews and financial audits.
Your skills
- Excellent Communication Skills : Excellent communication skills, fluent English is essential for this position – fluent German is a big plus!
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years working in a professional environment.
- Budget Management & Controlling: Demonstrated experience in budget management and controlling.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Several years of proven track record in financial analysis and reporting.
- Forecasting and Estimation: Strong background in forecasting and estimation practices.
- Project Management: Previous experience in project management.
- Legal + Contract Understanding: Familiarity with legal aspects and understanding of contract management.
- Excel Skills: Proficient in Excel with strong analytical capabilities.
