Are you an experienced and driven financial planning professional who wants to take the next step in your career? Then you might consider applying for Finance partner position in the VELUX Region North Finance & Performance Management team.
Joining VELUX Finance and Performance Management, you will become part of a global organisation consisting of app. 150 employees – working to continuously optimise business performance across the VELUX Group through fact based analysis and value adding decision support.
In this role, you will join the Region North Finance Performance Management team of 10 people, either located at our head office in Hørsholm, Denmark or our office in Hamburg, Germany, and report to the Regional Finance Director. Region North is the largest sales region in Velux, and the primary responsibility of the team is to drive transparency in financial performance and insights to improve it and help us capitalise on market potential. This is done through partnering with the organisation and deliver business analysis and financial planning activities. The Regional Finance Performance Management team is responsible for tracking, assessing and reporting market performance to the management team and key stakeholders and provide financial support on strategic initiatives and ad-hoc business cases, owning the budget processes, and development and reporting of KPIs.
Specifically, as our new Finance Partner, you will:
Partner with stakeholders within the region to create transparency in financial performance and drive better decision-making.
Analyse and report business performance to the Regional Management Team.
Develop and report operational and strategic KPIs connected to your market.
Act as a Finance Business Partner on strategic projects within your area of responsibility including business case calculations.
Optimise and automate the monthly performance reporting for both sales and financial performance.
Collaborate with the rest of the Finance team on cross regional and finance initiatives to improve our delivery model towards the business.
The role can become a Senior Finance Partner dependent on the candidate and experience.

You are a well-rounded performer with a strategic mind-set and strong analytical capabilities, who thrives at the prospect of providing high-quality value adding insights. Your strong points are your financial toolbox and your ability to link business strategy with performance management. Advanced skills with Excel and PowerPoint are important, while experience with SAP and/or Power BI will be an advantage though not a prerequisite You are thorough and quality-conscious and possess both business and people acumen. Similarly, stakeholder management comes naturally to you and you find the prospect of collaborating with stakeholders across different nationalities and cultures intriguing.
Moreover, you:
Hold a relevant master’s degree in business administration, economics or finance with excellent results.
Have experience from a job as e.g. Finance Partner or similar from a global company or consultancy.
Have a thorough understanding of financial management and the relations between finance, strategy, and performance management.
Have strong people skills allowing you to become a trusted advisor for key stakeholders.
Have excellent analytical skills, understand trends and is able to develop insights and prepare recommendations.
Are able to communicate and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
Have a good English proficiency level both written and spoken.
German proficiency will be a plus, as many stakeholders will be from German speaking countries.
The role will require some degree of travel estimated at ~10-20 days per year.
