In our New Work we usually spend around two days a week in the office and thus offer an individual mix of mobile and office work.
The eight-person Data Analytics department is responsible for the preparation, evaluation and interpretation of all relevant usage data on TV and our digital platforms (e.g. RTL+, RTLZWEI.de, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok). In collaboration with other specialist departments, the team answers all questions about strategic and operational optimizations in the production and distribution of RTLZWEI content.

TASKS

• As a data analyst (m/f/d), you are the first point of contact when it comes to data analyzes and reporting on digital platforms
• You develop data-based recommendations for action when making strategic decisions, especially in collaboration with our channel leads, the format managers and the editorial team, but also help with ad hoc requests
• You define, monitor and further develop appropriate KPIs and are also in close coordination with our development team to continuously automate standard processes
• In close collaboration with our data science team, you will further develop our forecasting system
• You can also work on cross-departmental projects and take on responsibility, for example when introducing new analysis tools
• Managing and briefing external service providers on current projects are also part of your diverse tasks

REQUIREMENTS

• Completed studies related to data analytics, statistics, business administration, social sciences or similar.
• Professional experience in the data analytics area, ideally within the media industry
• Enthusiasm for the analytical examination of television and television-like content and the presentation of this to the respective stakeholders
• Experienced use of Excel and PowerPoint as well as reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) and BI/analysis tools (e.g. SQL, BigQuery, Python, R or similar)
• Knowledge of tracking tools (e.g. Google Analytics) or social media analytics is an advantage
• Very good knowledge of German
