Who are we?

We, Mercedes-Benz Intellectual Property GmbH & Co. KG ("Mercedes-Benz IP"), as a wholly owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, are responsible for the "DNA" of the Group - all the patents, brands, designs and domains that characterize the external image and guarantee technical progress.

In order to ensure their protection, we take care of the IP ("Intellectual Property") rights of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, the divisional AGs and the subsidiaries. In addition, we draft contracts for global license business models and intercompany service relationships.

As a working student, you will be part of an agile Mercedes-Benz IP team and support our patent professionals in Intellectual Property Management in the areas of "E/E, UI/UX, Connectivity, Digital Services". Flexibility in terms of time and location is also very important to us.

Your tasks...

• Conducting searches with a focus on patent law issues with the help of search and analysis tools for the initial evaluation of invention disclosures
• Assisting with the preparation of patent applications
• Participation in the analysis of the property rights portfolio of Mercedes-Benz Group AG with regard to competitors and current technological developments and innovations

Qualifikationen

• You are studying computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or a comparable course of study
• You have a good command of written and spoken German and English
• You have solid MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• You are characterized by a structured way of working, accuracy and the ability to work in a team
• You are no stranger to intellectual property rights, especially patents
