The project is within global R&D, pet nutrition Mars. The team consists of scientists and developers who expertise in petfood, flavour science, biotechnology with focus on developing products for petfood. The objective of this internship is to apply biotechnology tools (GRAS microorganisms and enzymes) to process alternative protein sources including plant-based proteins to develop palatants.
What are we looking for?
- Student in the field of biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, industrial microbiology or similar
- First experience in bioprocess development, bioreactor design, enzyme technology
- Comfortable with data analysis and evaluation, scientific writing, and presentation
- Good communication skills (English is mandatory, German is plus)
- Motivated, proactive, and flexible
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Extensive literature review
- Conducting lab and pilot trials
- Analysis, sensory and feeding panels
- Data evaluation, scientific reporting, and presentations
