Your Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Regulatory Data Infrastructure in the Flavor Industry. This position is crucial for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to data management and infrastructure within the IT domain, specifically utilizing SAP systems,with the aim to provide an IT environment that facilitates a seemless flow from raw material information to customer documentation. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of regulatory standards, IT systems, and SAP platforms, along with exceptional leadership and project management skills.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company's data management processes align with industry regulations and standards. Stay updated with changes in regulations related to data management in the flavor industry and adapt company practices accordingly.
- SAP Expertise: Leverage deep understanding of SAP systems to optimize data management processes, integrate new technologies, and ensure seamless regulatory compliance. Collaborate with IT teams to implement SAP solutions tailored to regulatory needs.
- Infrastructure Development: Lead the development and maintenance of robust data infrastructure. Oversee the implementation of secure and scalable IT systems to support regulatory data requirements. Work closely with IT architects and engineers to design and maintain a reliable infrastructure.
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures. Define data standards, quality metrics, and ensure adherence across the organization. Develop and maintain documentation related to data governance practices.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including regulatory affairs, IT, and compliance departments. Work closely with regulatory experts to translate regulatory requirements into IT solutions. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the regulatory data infrastructure team. Mentor and guide team members, foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. Ensure professional development and growth opportunities for team members.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization of regulatory data management. Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in compliance-related activities.
About You
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field with 10+ years of experience in IT roles with a focus on regulatory data management, preferably in the flavor industry.
- Alternatively Master’s degree in Food Science with 10+ experience preferably in the area of flavorings with a strong focus on related IT tools.
- Extensive experience with SAP systems, including SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, and related modules.
- Knowledge in SQL, R, Python as well as of data pipelines and ETL processes is a plus.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively in a diverse, multinational environment.In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards in the flavor industry, such as FDA, Codex and EU standards and regulations, as well as other relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successfully leading IT projects in a regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional language skills in German, French and/or Spanish are an advantage.
- Leadership experience, including team management and mentorship.
