Senior Consultant for IT Co-Determination

Job description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Overseeing critical processes in IT co-determination and project support for IT projects to pass IT co-determination governance. Present IT projects to local Workers Council in Germany in a comprehensive manner that fully supports the organizations IT initiatives.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Main Representative for IT Co-determination: Consulting and monitoring of IT co-determination-relevant applications for FME in Germany.
- Represents GDTI in front of Workers Council in Germany and acts as a main interface to the Workers Council for numerous IT initiatives and projects.
- Ensures alignment to Corporate IT Governance and local Regulatory needs.
- Advising the applicants from Germany and management of GDTI on the relevance of IT co-determination, incl. review of alternative tools/systems and required approvals.
- Quality assurance of application forms and support for data protection and IT security processes
- Maintain repository of IT co-determination approvals and communicate due dates for submissions.
- Maintenance of IT co-determination templates.
- Manages inquiries from the IT representative (works council), the data protection officer, IT security and the employer steering committee.
- Manage project reports on IT co-determination activities, milestones, and Resolution.
- Regular exchange and support of FME EMEA IT Business Partners on IT business application topics.
- Harmonization of global IT applications, taking into account existing approvals by the works council / data protection.
- Support life cycle management and change management of applications with regard to IT co-determination and data protection requirements.
- Support in IT projects regarding IT co-determination issues and monitoring of submission deadlines.
- Support in the implementation of projects in accordance with the decision of the IT Committee and the Data Protection Officer.
- Support of the IT Demand and Project Portfolio Management.
- Supervise at least one support team member.
EDUCATION:
University degree in Business informatics or Information Technology (Bachelor) or comparable professional experience
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience in the IT field
- Overall understanding of the complexity of European legislation (focus on German legislation).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; translate complexity into the actionable.
- Experience in the field of data protection is a plus.
- Previous experience with IT co-determination topics, project management, and data protection
