Key responsibilities:
Process Optimisation
- Evaluate current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement [Benchmarks, KPIs, Dashboard]
- Maintain knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods.
- Identify and assess various challenges from established manufacturing standards and best practices; provide feedback to standard "owners"
- Develop and implement efficient workflows to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with engineers to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building ergonomics for new product lines.
Quality Control:
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain high-quality standards and Best Practices.
- Implement measures to ensure consistency and accuracy in production processes. Quality prior to Efficiency.
- Support regional quality manager to analyze data to identify root causes of quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
Resource Utilization
- Support Ops Director and /or factory directors to optimize the Network and the use of resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Implement systems for effective inventory management.
- Develop staffing models to ensure optimal utilization of workforce.
Cost Analysis and Reduction
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed changes and improvements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce production expenses.
- Work closely with the finance department to track and analyze budgetary considerations.
Data Analysis
- Implement data-driven decision-making processes by :
- Utilize statistical methods to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Education and experience:
- University degree in Engineering or MBA
- Previous experience in Process optimisation and/or Project Management
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing is a plus
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinker and problem solver
- Ability to collaborate across functions and geographies
- Excellent communication skills
- MS office applications
- Driving licence class B
- Fluent English, written and spoken; further foreign language skills (e.g. German, French, Spanish, Polish) is an advantage
- International travel – 50%
