Job description
FUNCTIONS
As a Design Engineer within the automotive sector, you will be tasked with supervising the product design process, ensuring adherence to standards, specifications, and QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) objectives. The role involves project management, conducting functional and failure mode analyses, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to devise and present technical solutions. This position demands a combination of technical expertise, project management proficiency, and effective communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Validate product design in compliance with business rules.
- Manage one or several projects supervising a team of 5 CAD Designers
- Conduct functional and failure mode analyses (FMEA)
- Ensure application of standards and formalize design requirements to suppliers.
- Present technical solutions internally and externally.
- Manage design study schedule and budget.
- Contribute to knowledge and expertise development.
- Participate in technical meetings and project reviews.
- Manage plan developments and existing product follow-up.
- Implement quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Technical Science (Engineering).
- Minimum 3 years of field-related experience..
- Experience using PDM (high requirement)
- Experience with functional analysis and FMEA (high requirement)
- High Familiarity or knowledge of Automotive Sector. Ideally with experience in one of these 3 materials: Plastic-Metal-Rubber.
- Command of office automation systems and MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint…)
- Command of English language. Native in German
- Good understanding of plastics/rubber and/or metal part engineering
- Strong Team-player aptitude. Rigor, autonomy, initiative, creativity, and interpersonal skills
