A functioning economy needs a stable banking system. Banking supervision therefore has the task of monitoring the business activities of credit institutions and maintaining investor confidence. As a specialist in the newly created Competence Center for IT Risks, you will advise the supervisors in the Bundesbank's head offices on all supervisory issues relating to IT. You will work in a highly qualified agile team and assess the appropriateness of IT risk management and the IT processes of the supervised institutions and their multi-client service providers. At times, you will take part in banking audits and supervisory meetings at the institutions. In doing so, you will represent the supervisory assessment to the institutions' management boards and senior employees.

- You will assess the functionality and appropriateness of IT risk management and IT processes based on supervisory regulations.
- You are an expert in the team for information security (e.g. network security, cryptography, vulnerability management, penetration tests), application development (e.g. design, programming, build, test, deployment) and application and infrastructure operations
- They deal intensively with technical innovations in the financial sector and assess their impact on the banking industry
- You assess and evaluate complex IT and IT risk issues and can prepare and communicate your assessment in a way that is appropriate and understandable for the target audience
- You work independently in the agile team of the competence center and in a service-oriented manner with the supervisors in the head offices

- Accredited Master's degree or equivalent degree in (business) informatics with above-average results
- Professional experience in the field of IT security is an advantage
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills to evaluate and solve fundamental issues, very high degree of flexible thinking and openness to innovation and transformation
- Ability to identify potential negative developments and problem situations as well as new developments in IT supervision at an early stage
