Job description:

As a key member of RTL Group IT competence centre GSS (Group Systems Services), the Azure Senior Architect plays a crucial role in guiding RTL entities through their Azure adoption journey. This position provides both technical and strategic guidance to accelerate cloud transformation. Here are the key responsibilities:

• Azure Expertise: The Azure Architect develops services and expertise on Microsoft Azure, aligning with the RTL Group IT Roadmap.
• Group-wide programs support and delivery: In a multi-tenants environment, the Azure Senior Architect supports growing usage and fitgap analysis for the RTL Group corporate and Business Units (BU) programs and requirements. Over the next 2 to 3 years, this is in particular driven by a Digital Transformation program at Fremantle, our content Business Unit.
• Strategic Influence: Azure (including Entra ID) is pivotal for the cross-BU “Architecture Board” initiatives, including cross-tenant synchronization and federation solutions.
• Domain Specialization: Recognizing that Microsoft Cloud Services is a vast domain, the Azure Senior Architect focuses on Azure dedicated expertise, contributing to an important part of your team mastery across all Digital Workplace areas (e.g., Azure, Office 365, PowerPlatform, SharePoint development, Identity and Access Management).
• Cloud System and Network Architecture:

1. Take ownership of designing robust and scalable cloud system and network architecture.
2. Ensure alignment with security objectives, implementing best practices to safeguard data and applications.

• Security Integration:

1. Seamlessly integrate security tools into the cloud environment.
2. Optimize these tools to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.

• Automation and AI:

1. Leverage automation processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
2. Analyse and implement AI / ML solutions that support exploitation of data.  

• Cloud adoption and harmonization:

1. Collaborate with team members to enhance cloud adoption and infrastructure management.
2. Continuously seek opportunities for harmonization and convergence across RTL Group on technical and functional solutions.

• Compliance and collaboration:

1. Provide support to ensure customer solution designs align with central Group IT standards and policies
2. Foster effective communication and coordination between teams.

• Knowledge Sharing and Documentation:

1. Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, processes, and configurations.
2. Share knowledge with colleagues across the GSS teams and BU correspondents.

Profile description:

• Azure Cloud Experience:

1. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure public cloud environments, covering IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS and migrations experiences.
2. Specialization in Azure Integration Services (API Management, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Event Grid and others). 
3. Microsoft Fabric / Data Lake is an asset.

• Educational Background:

1. Possess a 4-year college/university degree in Information Technology or demonstrate equivalent practical experience.

• Certifications:

1. Hold any of the following certifications:

- SACA Official CGEIT

- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification (AZ-305)

- CompTIA CASP+, or an equivalent certification.

• Cybersecurity and Privacy Knowledge: 

1. In-depth understanding of cybersecurity and privacy principles.

• Azure Technical Proficiency:

1. Deep technical knowledge of Azure technologies.
2. Practical experience in cloud adoption and migration.

• Network Design and Security:

1. Understanding of network design processes.
2. Awareness of security objectives specific to Azure environments.

• Effective communication and collaboration Skills:

1. Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
2. Collaborative team player who is curious and enthusiastic about exploring new technological advancements.

Education level: Master's Degree

Work experience: 4-5 years
