Purpose of the role
As Logistics Infrastructure Manager (f/m/d) you will be responsible for implementing and optimizing the infrastructure for the entire CCUS logistics value chain. Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient and effective systems, processes and facilities to support the flow of CO2 per various logistics modes and interfaces, manage the documentation and information and the accounts payable front-end towards suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics infrastructure for our projects: Analyze emitter location and infrastructure requirements including layout, ownership and regulations, storage capacity, equipment needs, and technology integration. Coordinate the design, construction, and maintenance of logistics facilities to support optimal operations
- Logistics network optimization: Collaborate with project and business development teams to evaluate and optimize transportation routes, inventory and collection opportunities and the distribution network design. Collaborate also with external partners and vendors for improvement opportunities (i.e., Hub and Spoke, Bundling, Pooling and Sharing)
- Technology and automation: Stay up to date with technological advancements in logistics and implement appropriate tools, software, and automation systems to streamline processes, increase accuracy, and improve productivity (i.e. asset tracking, monitoring systems, transportation management and automation systems)
- Vendor management: Evaluate and select suppliers in logistics infrastructure. Cooperate with such suppliers for specific project infrastructure requirements and maintain strong partnerships to ensure quality service and compliance with established standards.
- Ensure accounts payable requirements for logistics suppliers are set and met.
- Compliance and risk management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, safety, security, quality and environmental regulations. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies related to logistics infrastructure & at-site operations, including disaster recovery plans and business continuity plans
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus
- Proven experience in logistics operations and infrastructure management, preferably in a managerial capacity of min 5 years
- Proficiency in logistics software and technology systems, such as WMS, TMS, and data analytics tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Pro-active leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders
- Command of German & English languages on professional level
