Your tasks
- As a Quantum Computing Algorithm Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and tweaking our Quantum Computing Algorithms and develop pioneering Quantum Computing use cases for our clients
- Together with application-specialists you will analyze potential applications for quantum technologies in sectors like automotive, public, health and public transport and facilitate on the short- or mid-term usability of methods from Quantum-IT
- You will manage implementation projects together with other experts, conduct co-innovation workshops and establish standardized Quantum-IT services with and for our customers #EHE_TSI#

Your Profile
- University degree in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer science or comparable fields
- Strong expertise in mathematical methods like linear algebra, variational methods, optimization, statistics and probability theory can be an advantage.
- Strong expertise and experience in quantum computing and knowledge of quantum computing algorithms, particularly gate model and hybrid solutions (e.g. QUBO solvers)
- Previous experience with software best practices, including continuous-integration pipelines, unit testing, code review
- Experience working with several programming languages (most importantly Python)
- First experience in translating industry challenges to underlying, general mathematical models and/or algorithms suitable for Quantum computing
- Knowledge and applied experience in Quantum Gate computing. Basic hands-on experience with industry common software-development kits such as Qiskit, QDK/Q#, cirq or comparable platforms
- Research experience, including publications, demonstrating proficiency in applying mathematical methods and algorithms to solve complex problems is a plus
- Enthusiasm for Quantum Technology and high motivation to explore a new field
- Confident in the necessary coordination of other experts
