Barton International GmbH is looking to hire a Financial Accountant/Human Resources to support our US and internal teams from our office in Usingen.
As a Financial Accountant/Human Resources you will work with the local management in Usignen and the Finance and Human Resources team in the US. Responsibilities:
- Post sales orders as invoices on customer accounts and distribute invoices to the customers.
- Post customer payments in ERP system on customer account with settlement to specific customer invoices.
- Post vendor invoices in ERP system on vendor account.
- Communicate customer and vendor invoices and supporting documents to tax accounting firm system.
- Select vendor invoices to be paid in ERP system, setup vendor payment journal, initiate payments on bank website or mobile APP. Submit payment proposal to approver.
- Assist sales staff in reviewing customer credit and setting up customer accounts specifically credit limit and payment terms.
- Review customer sales orders that are sent to credit hold. Take required action to contact customer or sales staff to determine processing steps.
- Perform collection tasks related to customer invoices that are past due.
- Responsible for VAT accounting records in ERP system and tax account firm. DATEV system.
- Perform audit of internal systems to ensure all required document support for company transactions have been submitted and received.
- Act as a liason between company and tax accounting firm for all VAT matters. Assist tax accounting firm with all VAT audits.
- Responsible for inventory receipts against purchases orders in ERP system. Liaison for company with US Parent for inventory purchases and transactions.
- Responsible for treasury management tasks which includes bank account administration, bank account transaction review, and initiation.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, as needed.
- Responsible for intercompany transactions between company and US Parent.
- Liaison between US Parent Human Resources and tax accounting firm for the payroll compensation, payroll taxes, and employee insurance transactions.
- Review information provided by tax accounting firm and confirm accuracy for each employee. Initiate payments for payroll compensation, payroll taxes, and employee insurances and notify approver.
- Post payroll related journal and bank transactions in ERP system.
- Complete financial close for Barton International GmbH by performing month-end close work for accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, VAT, and general ledger.
- Responsible for completing year-end financial close and reporting to US Parent and tax accounting firm. Work with tax accounting firm to validate German tax financial report submission.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience finance.
- Successful track record of multi-tasking and being a team player on cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Experience with Microsoft productivity software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and others.
- Experience working with corporate file sharing technologies including SharePoint, OneDrive and similar services.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and/or Apple Macintosh computers,
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics for Finance and Operations, preferred.
