We are excited to announce a new opportunity within our thriving company! We are currently looking to recruit a highly skilled Lead Java Developer (m/f/x), specializing in decentralized systems. This role will be based in Cologne, and requires a professional who is adaptable, innovative, and has exceptional technical expertise. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating scalable and performant solutions and collaborating with external development teams.

Your mission

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Java and Gradle-based applications, focusing on decentralized systems
• Design and implement unit tests using JUnit
• Collaborate with the development team to determine the scope and objectives of each sprint.
• Provide guidance and support to junior developers in their daily tasks and assignments.
• Deliver robust, efficient, and scalable solutions that can handle large volumes and various type of data 
• Collaborate effectively with external development teams to ensure smooth integration of various systems
• Participate in code reviews, sharing your expertise with colleagues and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Contribute to open-source projects, particularly within the Eclipse Foundation or similar associations
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs, and conduct testing using Postman

Your profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Java Developer in the technology industry
• Strong expertise in Java-based technologies and frameworks, with a focus on decentralized systems
• Exceptional skills in Gradle, JUnit, and RESTful API development and testing
• Solid experience with Postman or similar API testing tools
• Proficient in code reviews, comfortable providing and receiving constructive feedback
• Well-versed in collaborating with external development teams
• A strong track record of contributing to open-source projects, preferably within associations like the Eclipse Foundation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment
