Job description
Your responsibilities:
As a Project Manager for IFF, you will be 100% accountable for executing projects, all the way from Business having an idea until the handover of the project to Operations at the end:
- Leading and executing various Capital Projects based on well-proven project models, covering both small and large - scale projects.
- Ensuring that Business objectives on scope, schedule, budget and quality are fulfilled.
- Provides leadership for an effective and cohesive team. Has the ability to assess the project teams functional capabilities.
- Provides guidance to Process Engineers / Manufacturing Technology for developing strong Basic Data. Challenges quality of Basic Data to improve robustness of inputs before Detailed Design.
- Leading and facilitating required design reviews, to secure scope of Work and Budget.
- Developing project quality plans and auditing of work processes.
- Developing project economy, cashflow forecast and integrated project schedules.
- Ensuring excellence in adherence to Process Safety Management, Safety, Health and Environment (EHS) and Mechanical Integrity.
- Performing risk management and developing mitigation plans.
- Adhere to robust cost control by applying no-change philosophy.
- Making strategic project decisions and providing of regular status reports to the Project Steering Committee.
- Identify key stakeholders, internal as well as external to IFF, and establish communication with them as required.
- Presenting options and opportunities, followed by recommendations, for business to make decisions.
- Be a champion for contractors' safety in the field, through high Construction Management standards. Applies IFFs Life Saving Principles to projects.
Job Requirements
Skills and qualifications:
- You have excellent oral and writing skills in German and English, with the ability to discuss strategic and contractual subjects at a high level.
- High-level communication skills with decision-makers.
- Your bachelor or master’s degree in Process or equivalent technical experience in Engineering fields: Process / Chemical Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Bio-Tech, Food Technology Engineering.
- Proven record of accomplishments managing Projects of more than $5M.
- Proven skills in gathering, motivating and leading a multidisciplinary engineering- and cultural team, to create team spirit and maintain high performance.
- Your ability and willingness to delegate responsibilities with the right balance between leading and acting as a team member.
- We will rely on your experience with project commissioning, start-up and handover to production within a plant in operation.
- Willingness to travel abroad as required for efficient project execution.
- Preferable broad knowledge of other Engineering disciplines, to facilitate planning and coordination.
