Job description
Our client are a global leader in the manufacture of test and measurement devices.
They are looking for a Key Account Manager to be responsible for selling products and services to a select number of customers in Germany-Austria-Switzerland (DACH) and acting as the company's representative in all sales-oriented activities.
Main responsibilities:
- Maintaining an excellent relationship with the existing customer base, as well as the further development of customer relationships at all decision-making levels,
- Makers and influencers with assigned key customers (from laboratory engineers/technicians to executives at the highest decision-making level),
- Maintaining regular customer communication and developing a good understanding of important customer projects,
- Achieve and exceed sales targets based on a monthly plan and business objectives.
Desired experience:
- At least 5 years of experience as a key account manager, ideally in a test & measurement environment with a proven track record,
- Master or technical degree in physics, electronics, electrical engineering or telecommunications engineering,
- Understanding of technology trends and turning points in the power and automotive markets,
- Ability to profitably create, develop, manage and close business opportunities in a difficult competitive environment,
- Ability to map the customer's decision-making process and uncover potential customers' key purchasing influences,
- Team player with a collaborative and strategic mindset,
- Place of residence in Germany, ideally southern Germany,
- Strong willingness to travel,
- Strong negotiation skills, communication and presentation skills - also in German and English.
