Job description

We are looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join the Frostbite team!

Frostbite is EA's proprietary game engine that comes equipped with tons of tools and technologies designed to build incredible games. Our in-house engine offers the unique ability to adapt to each game while working hand-in-hand to prioritize what to build. Our goal is to empower creators all over the world to bring their best ideas to life by creating an engine that amplifies innovation across every discipline.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be a valued contributor to the Frostbite Network Team, building the next generation of multiplayer networking. This isn't just about enhancing our games; it's about laying the technological groundwork that enables new and groundbreaking gaming experiences. As part of our team, we thrive on collaboration, learning from one another daily, and working in unison to empower game teams worldwide to create remarkable multiplayer experiences for our players.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, and performant code. Review technical designs and code written by fellow Software Engineers
• Design and implement systems and APIs used by game developers across EA
• Improve usability, performance and stability to empower our users to create incredible games
• Engage in team discussions, knowledge sharing, and contribute your insights to those around you.
• Collaborate with other Frostbite teams and game teams to ensure world class workflows and in-game performance

Qualifications

• You have at least 3 years experience with C++, data-oriented design, and software architecture.
• You have an ability in profiling and optimization.
• You succeed in a culture of curiosity and continuous learning..
• You have experience with test automation.
• You have experience writing software for environments with limited resources.
• You enjoy having fun while at work, fostering a positive and enjoyable work environment.
