The IT department is responsible for and designs the entire IT of the City of Munich. We ensure that IT provision meets the city's current and future needs. We drive the digitalization of the city of Munich and play a pioneering role. Our work and our services make the city of Munich a digital metropolis that sets standards that its employees are proud of.
As part of the IT department, we ensure a modern IT and telecommunications infrastructure, implement professional IT solutions and secure the IT operations of the City of Munich with over 1,200 employees in our own company it@M.

What you can expect

In this position, you will monitor compliance with all relevant data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR, BayDSG) for the protection of natural persons when processing personal data, particularly with a technical focus. This includes the evaluation of data protection issues in terms of data protection law and information technology. The varied area of responsibility also includes the assessment of data protection requirements when introducing new tools, systems and processes. You will support and advise the employees of it@M up to the top management level on data protection issues and support the lawyers in your team with your IT expertise on technical (data protection) issues.
