CureVac SE is a global biopharmaceutical company researching and developing novel drugs based on the natural molecule Messenger RNA (mRNA). Our focus is on prophylactic vaccines, innovative cancer immunotherapies and protein-based therapies. Currently, all RNA people are striving to achieve our main goal: To bring multiple best-in-class mRNA drugs to market.
To strengthen our team in Tübingen near Stuttgart, we are currently looking to recruit a
Research Scientist (f/m/d) Oncology
Your Responsibilities:
- Direct research experiments to develop and assess novel mRNA-based therapeutic approaches in the field of cancer immunotherapy — from proof-of-concept to clinical phase
- Plan, execute, interpret and document experiments to develop and assess these approaches
- Devise and evaluate research strategies with a strong focus on intellectual property protection
- Prepare and present research results at internal and external scientific meetings
- Coordinate and successfully complete collaborations with academic, industrial and funding partners
- Support cross-functional projects within interdisciplinary teams
Your Qualification:
- PhD in pharmaceuticals, immunology, biotechnology or equivalent degree
- Strong research background in immunology, preferably with a focus on cancer immunotherapy
- Practical knowledge in working with in-vivo tumor models
- Good skills with multicolor flow cytometry and similar immunological methods
- Research experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry or as an academic postdoctoral fellow is beneficial
- Excellent team spirit, communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English, German skills are a plus
