PhD Position Experimental Allergy / Translational Research / Immunology

Full time or part time | temporary (36 month) | Center of Allergy and Environment (ZAUM)

As part of an innovative research project in collaboration with an industrial partner, we seek a motivated doctoral candidate (starting June 2024). The project aims to develop and refine mRNA-based immune therapy for allergic diseases and offers a unique opportunity to engage at the interface of preclinical research and clinical development.

Aufgaben:
  • Participation in the development and characterization of mRNA-based immunotherapies
  • Conducting preclinical studies focusing on murine allergy models and immunological analyses
  • Investigating the mechanisms of lipid nanoparticle-encapsulated mRNA in in vitro cell culture models
  • Contributing to the writing and publication of scientific papers
  • Active participation in national and international conferences
  • Interdisciplinary exchange with the teams from our industrial partner
Qualifikationsprofil:
  • A master's degree (or equivalent) in biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine, or related disciplines
  • Experience in molecular biology and immunological techniques
  • Prior experience with laboratory animals is advantageous, though not mandatory
  • Ability to work independently, with a structured and goal-driven approach
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken
  • Team-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for scientific research and discovery
