Key Responsibilities Include
- Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines ensuring the flow of data from various sources to storage and analytical systems.
- Develop and maintain data models schemas and database structures.
- Integrate data from multiple sources both internal and external to create a unified and comprehensive view of the organizations data.
- Implement ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes to clean transform and aggregate data for analysis.
- Manage and optimize databases for performance scalability and reliability.
- Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Write code and scripts in languages such as Python Java or SQL to automate data processes and workflows.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate data engineering processes into larger software systems.
- Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data issues collaborating with crossfunctional teams to resolve problems.
- Work closely with data scientists analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data systems with other enterprise systems.
- Document data engineering processes workflows and system architectures.
- Keep documentation uptodate and accessible for team members.
Specific Requirements
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
- 23 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in database design SQL and data modeling.
- Strong programming skills with expertise in languages such as Python Java or Scala.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed computing.
- Experience with ETL tools and processes.
- Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication (written and oral) and collaboration skills in English German is an advantage
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloudbased data platforms (AWS Azure).
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI).
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git for managing codebase and collaborative development
- Experience with using RPA tools
