As a key member in our international Digital, Robotics and Enabling Technologies (DRE) organization, your main responsibility is the development of complex medical software for our next generation Orthopedic Computer Assisted Surgery platform.
Your key responsibilities
You design and implement software components in C++/Qt and QML/JavaScript on a Linux platform.
Conduct problem solving, identify potential solutions, and evaluate them against component and system requirements .
Test, document, and review components of existing and new software features.
Understand and use UML to document and discuss software designs.
You will work across divisions and combine technologies from navigation and robotics.
Through surgery visits and collaboration with our marketing you will gain a profound understanding of the medical processes we support with our medical systems.
What are we looking for?
You have an advanced degree in computer science, software engineering, medical technology, mathematics, electrical engineering or comparable.
Ideally, y ou have already gained professional experience in software development with C++ (ideally in combination with Qt) or other object-oriented programming languages such as C# or Java.
We are also happy to give ambitious graduates with the appropriate practical experience a chance!
You bring along a strong drive for Medical Device Engineering.
You are self-motivated, driven, reliable and able to work independently as well as in a team.
A very good command of English and ideally good written and spoken German round off your profile.

Additional information
Thanks to our flexible working hours model, you will have the opportunity to work partially from the home office. A regular presence on site at our location in Freiburg should always be given to build sustainable relationships and maintain personal contact with colleagues as well as the departments .
