Support us as of now as a Doctoral Student (m/f/d) in Cognitive Neuroscience In accordance with Section 2 WissZeitVG and Section 72 HessHG, the position is to be filled on a fixed-term basis in the Biological Psychology group at the Department of Psychology and Sports Science with the opportunity for additional academic training. The salary is in accordance with the collective labour agreement of the State of Hesse (50% of E 13 TV-H).

As long as the maximum permissible duration of a fixed-term contract is not exceeded, you will be employed for an initial period of 3 years with a possible extension for up to another 2 years.

The candidate will be expected to contribute to research on motivational or long-term memory processes using fMRI and to teaching in biological psychology according to the teaching ordinance of the state of Hesse. The department offers an on-site research-dedicated 3T MRI scanner. The successful candidate will collect and analyse fMRI data, present the results at scientific conferences and write scientific papers.

We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in neuroscience, psychology, biology or a related field who have a strong interest in cognitive neuroscience and the ability to work independently. We expect basic programming skills and proficiency in English; prior experience with fMRI is of advantage.
