In order to support our local Information Management (IM) team, Airbus Helicopters is looking for a

AH Information Management is looking for a dynamic, skilled and motivated Network Engineer (d/f/m) who is ready to face any challenge. If you have a an experience in networking, you’ll join the Connectivity PSL (Product & Service Line), an international team in charge of designing, building and operating the network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wireless, Network Security, Internet Access, Load Balancing) of the company, worldwide.

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

For our site in Donauwörth in Germany the tasks for the Network Engineer (d/f/m) include, while not limited to:
Technical support for projects from the build phase through to deployment
Network Configuration (routing, switching, wireless)
Networking and IP Management (IPAM, monitoring tools, CMDB)
Infrastructure & networking issue root cause analysis and remediation in a time critical environment
Writing of technical documentation of new and existing network designs, implementations, processes and tooling
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, electronics and communication engineering or in a similar field of studies
Knowledge in Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions such as Cisco ACI and Cisco SDA
Experience in operating LAN and WLAN infrastructures using Cisco technologies
Programming & scripting experience would be appreciated (examples: Python, YAML, JSON)
Knowledge in network security (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Stormshield and Cisco ASA firewalls)
Understanding of IT services (Active Directory, SCCM, IAM) and Virtualization technologies (vmWare and Microsoft Hyper-V)
Good understanding of monitoring & logging tools along with the underlying principle
Strong ability to think creatively, to accept change and seek continuous improvement
High level of drive, enthusiasm and focus on the achievement of goals
Good interpersonal skills, particularly in communication and contribution to team motivation and problem solving
Ability to assess, evaluate and prioritize activities/topics particularly when under time pressure
Ability to produce clear and concise written operating procedures and documentation
Ability to work on own initiative and supervise others and in a transnational environment
Good communication, facilitation and listening skills
Fluency in English is essential (oral and written expertise), experience in German, French and/or Spanish would be a plus
