Your mission
As ecoLocked’s Lab Technician, you will work closely with our R&D team to support our product development activities. Specifically, you will provide hands-on support for material sample preparation, material processing as well as concrete and mortar sample mixing, handling, curing, and testing according to the relevant EN standards. In addition, you will be required to diligently record and organize results and above all ensure a clean, organized, and well-managed professional lab environment.
The position includes but is not limited to the following roles and responsibilities:
- Prepare new material samples for experiments and analyses.
- Mortar and concrete sample preparation and testing according to EN standards.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Record and interpret experimental data accurately and precisely.
- Assist in the development and optimization of laboratory protocols and methodologies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspace.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Keep detailed records of experimental procedures, results, and observations.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and publications as needed.

Your profile
- Completed Education or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., biology, chemistry, biochemistry, civil engineering, etc.).
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting.
- Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording and analyzing data.
- You have experience dealing and handling qualitative and quantitative data and understand the importance of reproducibility and variable controlling
- Willingness to learn new techniques and methodologies as required.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- You are comfortable operating in a dynamic start-up environment with an evolving project scope
- An unwavering ownership mentality: You should be proactive, resourceful, and structured in pushing progress in your areas of responsibility.
- Languages: Fluency in English, German is a plus
- Location: Our lab is located in Bernau bei Berlin and you should live in or be willing to move within commuting distance from this place of work.
