Could you be the full-time Test Laboratory Manager (m/f/d) in Hennigsdorf, Germany we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your testing expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Head of Train Validation Métier and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.
You’ll have the great opportunity to manage the resources of the mechanical test domain, required to execute testing activities at Train level. In this role you will be in charge of the consistent development of competencies required for this scope, following the right methodologies and tools.
We’ll look to you for:
Representing the leading figure of the mechanical Test Engineers, Technicians and Mechanics of the team, both technically for QTC (Quality, Time, Cost) and disciplinary
Managing the workload of the team, including sub-contracted support
Ensuring compliance of EHS directives and instructions by the mechanical test lab team members (inside and outside test lab facilities)
Managing P&L wise the mechanical test team
Defining the investment, optimizing test means implementation and maintenance
Ensuring test lab most relevant contribution to Alstom R&D and Innovation strategy
Supporting the implementation, managing and continuously improving the quality system of the Test Laboratory
Developing and ensuring the preservation of external recognitions (DAkkS, COFRAC, ISO, IRIS,…)
Ensuring the achievement of the tests in accordance with the QTC commitment
Guaranteeing the independence, the integrity and the confidentiality of the staff
Defining the objectives of the staff and managing competencies
Managing reviews and continuous improvement actions, ensuring the follow-up and the closing of the quality action plan resulting from the audits and reviews
Building partnerships internally and externally in close relationship with Alstom Innovation axes
Preparing frequently status reports to the site Train Validation Métier Manager

A Master Degree in Mechanical- or Railway- Engineering or equivalent
Train system knowledge
First experience in technical or disciplinary leading of engineers or technicians
Practical experience on testing phases (minimum of 2 years’ experience in Railway, Defense, Aeronautical, Automotive domains)
Structured working method, result and process-oriented with a desire to manage employees
Experience in employee and work package planning
Managing work packages for external customers
Quality-oriented working style
Experience in an international working environment
Fluent in English (German/French beneficial)
