Your role

You want to expand your practical experience and gain insights into the work of an investment team – whether in M&A transactions or the continuous development of existing portfolio companies? Then we should meet!
Your Tasks
The investment team is responsible for and manages all direct investment activities (incl. venture capital investments) and the portfolio companies throughout their lifecycle
from acquisition to exit.You will expand your practical experience in following tasks:
- Support of the investment team in M&A processes, from sourcing to closing
- Continuous screening of investment opportunities based on discussions with advisors, bankers and companies
- Market and competitive analysis in selected focus areas
- In-depth analysis (financial, strategic) of potential targets and company valuation (business plans, LBO, DCF, Multiples)
- Assessment of operational and financial performance and identification of future value creation levers (strategic, operational, financial) for existing portfolio companies and potential targets
- Support in portfolio management and preparation of internal committees, including preparation of presentations and analyses
Your Profile
- Strong interest and acumen for understanding business models, competitive dynamics, and market structures
- Advanced studies in the fields of economics (e.g. business administration, economics, industrial engineering)
- Relevant experience, e.g. through an internship in the areas of M&A/Investment Banking, Private Equity/Venture Capital, Strategy Consulting, or Transaction Advisory
- Good analytical and conceptual skills; ideally initial knowledge and experience in dealing with common valuation methods (DCF, LBO, multiples)
- Sound MS-Office skills, esp. Excel and PowerPoint
- Very good knowledge of the English; basic knowledge of German
