Beamline Scientist (m/f/d) for Soft-x-Ray Photo­emission, Absorption, and Fluorescence Spectroscopy

Reference No.: QM 2024/2

The Department for Spin and Topology in Quantum Materials investigates foundations and concepts in materials science for future information processing. The depart­ment operates several experimental stations for spectro­scopy and diffraction with synchrotron radiation.

You are a beamline scientist for soft-x-ray photo­emission, absorption, and fluore­scence spectro­scopy with experience in user support and a relevant research record with a broad spectrum of user application cases. Experience with inexperienced users is of advantage, as well as experience in shaping a new user community. The candidate should be interested in opening synchrotron radiation applications to new users, in particular users from quantum techno­logy.

Fixed term contract for 12 months. The salary is based on the Collective Agreement for the German Public Service (TVöD-Bund).
